Vision
and Mission
The vision of the Wall
of Hope Breast Cancer Survivors’ Project is to promote the
restoration of the environment to its natural and clean state
in which all forms of life on Earth can thrive. We honor breast
cancer survivors who are part of a much wider human rights problem
and global environ-mental crisis. We seek to broaden awareness
of the environmental links to disease and compel responsible public
policy.
The
Wall of Hope Exhibit
The Wall of
Hope traveling exhibit has visited more than 80 venues in California,
plus four other states and Canada. We inform, comfort and give
hope to thousands of cancer sur-vivors in our travels. The exhibit
attracts people with cancer, and the concerned community alike,
together with the media. The media is viewed as our partner in
getting the urgent message out that to make progress on the cancer
problem, we need to take a serious look at the connection between
cancer and the environment. We believe, until we roll back the
causes of cancer—the hundreds, if not thousands of toxins
and toxic combinations we are exposed to—cancer rates will
only continue to rise. The history of solving the cancer problem
is based on treatment and not prevention. In the long run, the
best investment will be proven to be in removing the chemicals
that are causing so much cancer, death and destruction to all
living things on Earth.
