The Wall of Hope Breast Cancer Survivors’ Project brings its message of hope and community action to Concord’s campus of Heal College, 5130 Commercial Circle, on November 8th and 9th to educate the campus and the community about breast cancer and about the links to cancer and the environment.

This portion of the exhibit carries pictures of 750 northern California breast cancer survivors. The northern California portion of the exhibit has representation from the Sacramento area down to Modesto. There are pictures from cities such as Citrus Heights, Davis, Vallejo, and San Jose, Galt and Lodi on the northern California portion. The southern California portion of the exhibit, with another 750 pictures on it, carries the images of survivors from Bakersfield down to San Diego and is displayed in venues throughout that region.

The postal service will feature its $.45 Breast Cancer Research Stamp for sale and the Wall of Hope will have cancer information and its exclusive pink crystal ribbons, and other boutique items, as well as it's pink silk roses for donations.

Northern California Wall of Hope exposition all day both days; founder, Marilyn Axelrod Burch, speaks in a luncheon program entitled, "Community Action & Cancer". The Wall of Hope is invited as part of Kaiser's "Pink with a Purpose" program to celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The program is free an open to the public.

The Wall of Hope Breast Cancer Survivors’ Project®, will bring the first three panels of the New York Wall of Hope to Long Island to show for the first time since collecting the pictures in an event sponsored by 1 in 9 and Libby Pataki in April 2002.
